K DUB (DUB= SHORT FOR "W")

Kellen really loves playing all sports, however baseball holds a special place. I really have no clue why!! This is Coach Blaine and Kellen at the banquet.
Kellen was on the City of Richland Little League team The Mets aka The Bees. No they are not linked in any way. The team name is The Mets, but when the Kids saw their uniform they went with The Bees, which really does make more sense than The Mets.
Kellen wanted to see the world through Scott's eyes while they were on the father-son campout. They had a great time. Kellen just loved to hang out with dad in the tent. After they set-up and took a rest on the bed, Kellen had his hands behind his head, was looking up to the sky and said "Ah this is the life."
Very Early morning at the river- getting ready to hike.
Hiking with dad at their camp out.
Showing off his dirty uniform. Kellen loved to slide in baseball. It is true there is no need at all to slide in t-ball/coach pitch, however most of the kids found some reason to try it out.
Give 3 Cheers for the preschool grad!! Kellen finished his 2nd year with Mrs. B and is so ready to go to the "big School".

JAKOB DOUBLE W

Jakob agrees with Bill Cosby... Jell-O Pudding Pops are delicious!
Jakob is 3! We went to Chuck-E-Cheeses with his cousins and Grandma Cook! He (and his brother) loved his dirt cake with the MONSTER TRUCKS. Kellen wants one now.
Umm so little boys know how to make messes. I walked in the kitchen and this is what I found. I never heard anything, from the egg or Jakob. Apparently he got into the fridge, found the eggs, dropped one and tried to clean it up with the Kleenex. The box of Kleenex has to be replaced more often now that Jakob uses them to clean-up... at least he tries.
This is who I found when looking for the guilty.
And apparently he tried to put the egg back.
Jakob and Kellen both love to ride their scooters.
Takin' a walk with daddy.
Just getting his adjustment.
This is Jakob's cut lip. He was climbing on the step stool and fell off. He bit through his lip and it was pretty bloody, however it healed rather quickly. When asked what happened he would point to himself, then to the floor and fall down. Trying to explain it does not do justice, it really was pretty cute.

WHO'S READY FOR MONSTER JAM!!

We took the boys to Spokane for Monster Jam. We did not tell them what were doing, for a couple reasons. 1~ We wanted it to be a suprise and 2~ We did not want a million questions about when we were going. So here we are in front of Monster Mutt Dalmation, I know it's a creative name. Jakob liked the tongue.
Grave Digger is always a crowd favorite. I know, I know way to much about monster trucks! But that is what happens with no little girls.
Obviously the arena is very loud. Kellen was a little more sensitive than Jakob was. Kellen wore his ear protection from the time we stepped in, to the time we left. Jakob wanted to experience the trucks in all their glory, he took his off during the free style part (probably the loudest part of the show).
I am a pretty awesome photographer. This is Grave Digger straight up! Perfect Shot!
Monster Mutt Dalmation Jumpin' Big! The lady drivers always go for the big air! She really did do way more than any of the men. After the show we had dinner with one of my roommates from BYU-Idaho, Arianne and her family. We did not get pictures, I don't know why...Thanks so much Ari and Jason it was so great!
Jakob was out before we were out of Spokane! The show and dinner wiped him out! I guess his ear protection and Grave Digger pillow helped him keep the memory alive a little longer.
Kellen Out!

ThE hOlLiDaYs!

In December, I went to Idaho and Utah to do a book buyback. Grandpa Whitemarsh came to help Scott-Thanks again DAD, you are so great!
While I was away the boys had a great time- all the "boys". They went to a train museum and got to ride the train out to see Santa. The little boys share grandpa's love for trains, so all had fun.
Christmas Eve we had dinner at Dan and Andrea's house (Scott's Brother) then the kids got all bunddled up and went sledding. The first summer we were in this area we were told there is not a lot of snow in the winter. I was happy to hear that. The 2 winters we have been here we have had snow, now don't get me wrong; growing up in Colorado, I would not call it a lot of snow, and it does not stay for 9 months...but still it's more than I want. (Sorry for my complaining, SARA)
Kellen and Morgan are heading down. Dan and Andrea have a great sledding hill near their house...it's called their driveway! It's perfect.
This was the only picture I took on Christmas morning! OOPPs! I guess it will be an easy page to scrapbook. I look for the GOLD lining in everything I do. :) The boys actually still play with their race track. So I guess "Santa" got it right this year. Way to go old man.
We are one of the millions to get Rock Band for Christmas (wii) and it is a blast. I never thought I would like as much as I do. This is New Years Eve. Scott's parents and another one of Scott's brothers, Brent and his family came over for New Years. This is the kids jammin' out with Uncle Dan on drums.
The brothers jammin'! And yes I can finally say I am part of a band! We are the "Eastsiders" and we are awesome. I see an "Eastsiders" post in the future!!

HILL AIRFORCE BASE- AROUND THANKSGIVING TIME

OK. OK. SO I KNOW I AM WAY LATE AND MY BLOG IS NOT UPDATED SO THAT IS WHAT I AM DOING THIS WEEK. GET PREPARED TO VIEW THIS BLOG A LOT THIS WEEK. THERE WILL BE UPDATES. For Thanksgiving we went to Willard/Ogden, Utah to my sister's house. It was a central location for everyone to meet and it was great.
We took the group to Hill Air Force Base- the kids loved the huge planes oh and so did the dads. The moms tried to keep everyone together, however with the Cook Clan that does not always oh wait that never works!
Our Family by a plane outside.
Kellen is all hung up in one of the seats!
After the Air Force base we got on the commuter train and rode from Ogden into Salt Lake. This was a great time to talk, the train was great, nobody had to drive and the kids again loved it. Jakob was so excited to ride on the train. Well he was excited the first time. On the way back he was tired and kept trying to push the "open" button. Luckily the button does not open the door while the train is in motion.
Temple Square was our next stop. By this time it was about 3 in the afternoon. The kids and adults were hungry, not much time for food. So we all split up to eat, but because it was the day after Thanksgiving, Temple Square was very busy and not many places to eat. We thought splitting up would help the crowd control- but we just found ourselves at the same Nauvoo Cafe in the Joseph Smith building.
The temple grounds were beautifully lit for the holidays. It really is worth the trip.
